After a first floral and colorful collaboration in 2018 (still available here), Charlie Crane is dressing up his LEVO rocker with a new print by Le Petit Lucas du Tertre: the Jaguar!
Very graphic, this new cushion will delight retro lovers who wish for an assertive fabric that will not go unnoticed.
Promise, this wild collab’ will give pep to any interior!
This collaboration made us want to know more about the history of this print. To do so, we asked Marie and Clémence, the two bohemian designers behind Le Petit Lucas du Tertre, to tell us more about it.
Beauty, freedom, quality: you’re gonna fall for it!
To design this print, we were inspired by Josephine Baker, a strong, committed and luminous woman whose life fascinates us. We all know the singer, actress and showgirl who danced half-naked during the twenties. But what we don’t necessarily know is that she was an activist, that she had adopted 12 children (yes, 12!), that she called her tribe the rainbow tribe, that she lived in a castle and that she was crazy about Chiquita, her tamed cheetah! From there, we wanted to create a wild print that reflects this freedom of tone, that has a little retro feel to it, and obviously frees itself from the usual codes of early childhood.
At Charlie Crane, we like this new cushion all the more because the 100% cotton fabric is made in an eco-responsible way using traditional Indian printing and weaving techniques (as usual with Le Petit Lucas du Tertre).
