No more bars on your baby's bed! This way, they can see the world around them without restriction and, most importantly, without risking injury from getting an arm or leg caught. Furthermore, the absence of bars prevents them from pushing against the side to climb over it.

An adaptable bed ideal for the transition from baby cot to toddler bed

When your child is ready to sleep in a bed without a guard, you can remove one of the sides of the bed to transform it into an open bed. If you are worried they might fall out during the night, you can add our foam Bumper bed guard to the side of the mattress. You can then use your KIMI as a bed until your child is 4/5 years old. And even beyond that, as you can use it as a daybed.

The KIMI is an evolving baby cot with rounded shapes and transparency. In a 120×60 cm format, it stands apart from classic slatted cots through its design and aesthetic. Designed as a reassuring cocoon, it allows the baby to see the world around them. The laces give it a real lightness whilst being safer than bars between which the baby could trap a limb.

Care

Cocoon:

  • Removable and machine washable at 30°
  • Maximum spin speed 800 rpm

Mattress and mattress topper:

  • The mattress covers are non-removable; the use of a mattress protector is strongly recommended
  • Surface clean only
  • Clean gently using a damp sponge and a mild detergent, then leave to air dry before use
  • Storage: store in a cool, dry place at a constant temperature (avoid attics, cellars, etc.)
  • To keep the mattresses in perfect condition, air them regularly

When I saw the KIMI bed arrive, I thought to myself: "What on earth is that thing with all those strings?" Then my Dad put the bed together and started threading the strings and got a bit frustrated (he's not very handy, my dad). So as usual, my mum said to my dad, "let me do it, darling," and she threaded all the strings perfectly. She even said it reminded her of when she used to crochet with her own grandmother. And now I have the most beautiful bed.

What I love about my KIMI bed is that it has no bars, and that's great because there's no risk of hurting yourself. My friend Rosalie at nursery (my absolute best friend for life!), she came in the other day with her little arm in a cast because she'd got it stuck between the bars of her bed. So my Mummy told Rosalie's Daddy about the KIMI and he bought it straight away!

What Olivia, 2 and a half, thinks

The other day, my parents came to see me in my Charlie Crane bed with cords and said "darling, you are a big girl now, so we are going to open up your bed so you can get in and out whenever you like." And my life changed! Now I can go to my parents' room whenever I want (though I don't think they are too keen on that). Still, they did put a kind of cushion under my mattress so I wouldn't fall, and I even have a pillow and a duvet just like them. Except mine never falls off!

Safety & Comfort

Why a mattress and a top mattress?

To prevent your baby from getting trapped between the mattress and the protective mesh of the cot, the KIMI cot is equipped with an under-mattress that is inaccessible to them and a top mattress 3 cm thick. To prevent the baby from "rolling up" in the top mattress, it contains a semi-rigid board inside.

The under-mattress is made from soy-based foam. Two versions of the top mattress are available: one also in soy foam and the other in natural latex.
