No more bars on your baby's cot! Your baby can see the world around them freely and, most importantly, won't hurt themselves by trapping an arm or a leg. Furthermore, the absence of bars prevents them from using them as a foothold to climb over the side of the cot.

An ideal convertible bed for the transition from baby bed to toddler bed

When your child is ready to sleep in a bed without a guard, you can remove one of the sides of the bed to turn it into an open bed. If you are worried about them falling during the night, you can add our foam Bumper bed rail to the side of the mattress. You can then use your KIMI as a bed until your child is 4/5 years old. And even beyond, as you can use it as a daybed.

KIMI is an evolving baby bed with soft curves and transparency. Measuring 120×60 cm, it stands out from classic barred cribs through its construction and design. Designed as a reassuring cocoon, it allows baby to see the world around them. The laces give it a real lightness while being safer than bars between which baby could get a limb trapped.

Care

Cocoon:

  • Removable and machine washable at 30°

Mattress and mattress topper:

  • Mattress covers are non-removable; the use of a mattress protector is strongly recommended
  • Surface cleaning only
  • Clean gently with a damp sponge and mild detergent, then allow to air dry before use
  • Storage: store in a cool, dry place at a constant temperature (avoid attics, basements, etc.)
  • To keep mattresses in perfect condition, air them out regularly

When I saw the KIMI bed arrive, I thought to myself, "What on earth is this thing with all these strings?" Then my Dad put the bed together, he started threading the strings and got frustrated (he's not very handy, my dad). So as usual, my mum said to my Dad, "let me do it, darling," and she threaded all the strings perfectly. She even said it reminded her of when she used to crochet with her own grandma. And now I have the most beautiful bed.

What I love about my KIMI bed is that there are no bars and that's amazing because you can't hurt yourself. My friend Rosalie at daycare (my best best friend for life!), she showed up the other day with her little arm in a cast because she'd gotten it stuck between the bars of her bed. So my Mommy told Rosalie's Daddy about the KIMI and he bought it right away!

What Olivia, 2 and a half years old, thinks about it

The other day, my parents came to see me in my Charlie Crane corded bed and said "sweetheart, you're a big girl now, so we're going to open your bed so you can get in and out whenever you want." And my life changed! Now I can go to my parents' room whenever I want (but I don't think they're too happy about it). Still, they put some kind of cushion under my mattress so I won't fall, and I even have a pillow and a duvet just like them. Except mine never falls off!

Safety & Comfort

Why a mattress and a mattress topper?

To prevent your baby from becoming trapped between the mattress and the bed's protective mesh, the KIMI bed is fitted with a base mattress that is inaccessible to them, along with a 3 cm thick mattress topper. To prevent the baby from "rolling up" in the mattress topper, it contains a semi-rigid panel inside.

The base mattress is made from soy-based foam. Two versions of the mattress topper are available: one also in soy foam and the other in natural latex.
