Charlie and Friends: Hello Emilie!

Charlie Crane was created in 2013. So for seven years, our small furniture has welcomed your babies and decorated your homes around the world. As this makes us very proud, we wanted to take advantage of this blog to highlight customers who live with our brand.
Charlie and friends : Bonjour Emilie !

For this first portrait, we went to meet Emilie, alias Emilie sans Chichi. At the head of a blended family of 5 children, Emilie is passionate about decoration who loves wood, natural materials and black & white. A fan of the early hours, she successively used the LEVO deckchair, the Mum and Dad Factory collection game arch (product to come) and the TIBU high chair. She tells us how our furniture accompanied her in her motherhood and tells us about her inspirations.

1 — Hello Emilie! Could you introduce yourself in a few words: your first name, your age, what you do for a living and who is your family made up of?

My name is Emilie I am 38 years old, I work in an administration and I am the mother of 4 children: Arthur 14 years old, Sistine 11 years old, Jeanne 8 years old and Nao almost 3 years old. I am in a relationship with Laurent, we are a blended family.

2 — When/how did you discover Charlie Crane and what was the first product you got?

I discovered you on Instagram years ago, I think since the beginning of the brand! I first got the high chair when Jeanne should have been 3 or 4 years old, very practical to be at the right height at the table. She must have used it for at least 6 years, maybe longer. Afterwards, I continued to follow Charlie Crane on social media over the years even though I no longer had young children. I then had the LEVO deckchair when my 4th child was born, it seemed obvious to me! I wanted a designer lounger, which blends in with the decor but above all something comfortable for my baby, a small cocoon.

3 — As a mom of a large family, can we say that the LEVO deckchair saved your life?

When you are the mother of a large family, you are obviously delighted to be able to put your baby down while taking care of the other children. Settled in his deckchair, Nao was there with us, he participated in family life without being in my arms. It was put there as soon as she left the maternity hospital.

4 — Over the years, we've seen your kids grow up on Instagram. Do the older ones still use their TIBU chair sometimes?

We used the TIBU chair for several years, it was perfect for eating, drawing, doing activities. I had to part with it reluctantly recently due to lack of space: I sold it to another family and I am happy to say to myself that they are taking advantage of it, they still have many years ahead of them!

6- What are the decoration (or designer) accounts that particularly inspire you?

I am very inspired by brand accounts like that of Hay Design or Normann Copenhagen. Overall, I really like Scandinavian decor and I follow accounts of ultra-inspiring women like @_mernee, @mamoesjka_nl, @dosieloves.

7 — What are the other children's brands (clothing, toys, decor...) that you love and that have accompanied you for several years?

Among the brands for children that I love, there is Gamin Gamine whose concept I think is great: a bundle of clothes that you get every month for your children! On the decor side, I really like Mado who makes superb illustrations, DonebyDeer for the children's rooms and the pretty bed linen by Petit Lucas du Tertre.

8 — And your latest favorites?

My latest favorites for children are the motor skills modules from the Danish brand Byklipklap (to be found at manipani) and the xoinmyroom furniture.

9 — If you had a superpower, what would it be?

It's hard to choose just one! But I would say teletransportation! I would like to be able to travel in a snap!

10 — Could you share with us 3 Insta Mum accounts (French or international) that inspire you and tell us why you like them?

I would say Laureen (Happycherikids) whom I am lucky to know, her children are full of talents and she is a mom whose values I share. I like the good humor and the honest talk of Lola (lolaetsesminis) and I like the sweetness of Florence (I could have called Marcel).
