Charlie Crane: What does Christmas mean to you?
Laura: It's my favourite time of the year, a moment of sharing with my loved ones. I am lucky enough to still have my grandmother. There will be 4 generations of us around the Christmas tree — how wonderful! My son Célestin will spend his first Christmas with his great-grandmother.
Charlie Crane: Do you have any particular traditions?
Laura: We are a Christmas morning gifts family. When we were little, my brother and I would leave a clementine and a cup of hot chocolate by the Christmas tree on the evening of the 24th to give Father Christmas some energy before bed. I remember so clearly arriving in the living room early in the morning. The clementine had been eaten and the cup was empty, and then the presents under the tree… It was magical! I plan to carry on this tradition with Célestin.
Charlie Crane: What would be the best Christmas for you?
Laura: My Christmases at my grandparents' were perfect — I am so happy to have those memories. Now that I am a mum, I can't wait to see Célestin's eyes light up with joy when he discovers his presents under the tree in turn!
Charlie Crane: Do you have any gift ideas for Célestin?
Laura: Since he is still very small, 7 months, it's tricky. I'm looking at mobility toys including the MILO play set and wooden toys for his age.
Charlie Crane: What are your best Christmas memories?
Laura: My memories are mostly emotional ones — the joy of being surrounded by all my family, around a lovely meal, the house decorated. Last year, when I was pregnant with Célestin, my family gave me little thoughtful gifts for him and it made me realise that a year later, we would be celebrating with a little baby… that I would be a mum at Christmas and no longer a child, even at the grand age of 36!

Christmas in Korea
Youngseon Minseon is a web designer. Together with her husband, a video game streamer, they welcomed their first baby. She tells us about their version of 25 December.
Charlie Crane: Are you celebrating Christmas with your family?
Youngseon Minseon: Before getting married, we would have a simple family dinner. Now, we have a simple party at home with friends. It's an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of family! We have no particular tradition, except for a warm and hearty meal with friends!
Charlie Crane: What would be the best Christmas for you?
Youngseon Minseon:
My wish for this time of year is mainly to have a healthy family and to be able to get together. Last year, we had friends over and watched a Christmas film together — I have fond memories of it!
Charlie Crane: Do you have any gift ideas for your baby?
Youngseon Minseon: I put up a Christmas tree for the first time for my baby! We didn't make gift lists, as he is only 2 months old. In any case, I've planned a photo session at the foot of the tree.
