How do you set up a small baby room?

The arrival of a baby often rhymes with upheaval, change and... decoration. Where to put your baby to sleep, how to set up his room? When the family grows, the organization of the small apartments quickly turns into an (unpleasant) part of Tétris. Your walls are not extensible but good news, there are solutions and smart furniture that adapt to small areas. Discover all our secrets to make your bedroom a warm cocoon.

Secret no. 1: Choosing the right furniture

A cradle rather than a baby bed

With its small size, the cradle takes up less space than a baby bed. Beyond the practical aspect, the cocoon format of the cradles reassures the baby. Another positive point for the cradle: its pendulum. This millenary movement reminds babies of their mother's womb. Soothing effect guaranteed. Finally, many parents like to sleep with their babies for the first few months. A crib will fit more easily into your room.

A wall-mounted changing table

Use the room as a whole, starting with the height of the walls. The wall-mounted changing table can be placed in the baby's room, but also in your bathroom: a water point is always useful. The table closes after use, which also means less clutter, more visual comfort. In fact, you will have everything you need for hygiene and care (diaper, liniment, diaper, diaper, diaper, etc.) in the shelves provided for this purpose. Our wall-mounted changing table supports up to 15 kilos, or about 36 months, the age of cleanliness. In short, it will accompany you from the first to the last day of diapers!

Shelves for your baby

Once again, use the height of the walls. To display books, small shoes or pretty objects, think of shelves.

A multi-tasking play mat

The floor mattress has several uses:

  • Keep your baby off the ground to avoid drafts
  • Wake him up gently
  • To be a reading mat for older children

Its small size fits vertically behind a door, a bed or in a corner after use. A must have!

Secret #2: Less but better

Whether you have little space or, on the contrary, a castle to develop, our philosophy remains the same: less but better.

In this case, think of your small space as an advantage. It allows you to go back to the essentials, to purify, to declutter. Is this umpteenth trinket that catches your eye really necessary? This 3rd bedside lamp is certainly cute, but not essential on your birth list. By focusing on the essentials, you increase your budget for beautiful pieces that last a long time, to pass from one child to another. You will also have fewer objects to store, clean, maintain. In your new life as parents, saving time and especially energy will be among your priorities (we went through this!). Avoid accumulation, save your mind and... your feet when you step on that useless damn toy in the middle of the night. Repeat with us: less but better!

Secret #3: Beautiful objects to display

Finally, your child's bedroom will not be the only room to accommodate your baby's things. Your living rooms will also be invaded, such as your living room and the kitchen. Invest in pretty rooms, starting with a beautiful deckchair. This key piece of baby furniture is used from birth and accompanies the child for several years. It is in this spirit that we imagined our LEVO deckchair. An object as beautiful as the wonder it hosts: your baby.

The other “space-saving” products we like

  • The lightweight and foldable Yoyo stroller fits in a closet or corner of your home without taking up too much space. It also passes through small elevators, train corridors, planes...
  • The Flexi Bath can be folded after the bath is finished. It is suitable for children up to 3-4 years of age. Its cap acts as a thermometer and it dries your child alone. No, we're joking about this last point (sorry)... On the other hand, you can take it everywhere with you, whether on vacation at grandma's house or on a weekend in Deauville, Biarritz or Marseille (cross out the useless destination).
