How to Prepare for Your Baby's Arrival with Maison Né

The arrival of a child is an interlude that is both joyful and full of all kinds of questions… Fortunately, over the past few years, expectant parents have been increasingly (and better) supported at every step of the way. At Charlie Crane, we care deeply about the health and well-being of every parent and child — values we share with…Maison Né ! Founded by Célia and Morgane, two healthcare professionals, Maison Né is the first network of health and wellness spaces dedicated to mothers and children. Together, we explain how to prepare for your baby's arrival serenely.

Bien préparer l’arrivée de bébé avec Maison Né

During pregnancy:

Pregnancy is a wonderful time, an enchanted interlude for some, but also an exhausting period, sometimes with its share of discomforts. Well, the good news is that when you're pregnant, it's also the perfect time to take care of yourself. At Maison Né, expectant mothers are welcomed as they deserve, with treatments focused on their mental and physical wellbeing.

Wellness treatments

There are many at Maison Né! For the expectant mother, there is for example the sophro-massage, a very gentle method combining relaxation techniques inspired by sophrology and body massage to release the tensions associated with pregnancy. Maison Né also offers a classic prenatal massage to unwind and reconnect serenely with the body. Finally, a firm favourite: lymphatic drainage or maderotherapy — ideal for the lower body, which carries the weight of life and sometimes the dreaded water retention linked to pregnancy hormones… Goodbye heavy legs!

Pilates and yoga classes

Prenatal Pilates is very popular among expectant mothers, and for good reason: this gentle method created by Joseph Pilates is highly effective for strengthening deep muscles, improving posture, stretching muscles, and getting into the best possible shape for childbirth. Prenatal yoga is also on the programme, offered in a gentle way so that each person can go at their own pace, according to their wishes and/or abilities. A little more energetic for the more adventurous: prenatal fitness guides you through progressive and safe exercises at every stage of pregnancy.

Perinatal workshops

What we love about this kind of hybrid venue is that there is something for everyone! You might even be tempted by workshops you wouldn't necessarily have imagined… After all, pregnancy is a bubble in which you should embrace new experiences, isn't it? So at Maison Né, as part of the perinatal support offering, you can choose a sophrology workshop to find calm and serenity when thoughts start to race. Our favourite: the workshop for the co-parent-to-be, because the future dad or co-parent is rarely thought of in the preparations for childbirth. They too need to prepare for baby's arrival and often have a great many questions to ask!

In the postpartum period:

When baby has just been born, it's a whirlwind of emotions! Nevertheless, this is still a period where both mother and child need to take the time to get to know each other, establish a rhythm, reconnect with the body, and of course, find (or rediscover) balance. During this "4th trimester", Maison Né is there too, offering many benefits.

Baby thalasso bath and swaddled bath

Have you heard of the baby thalasso bath? Created by Sonia Krief and commonly known as the "Sonia bath" for a long time, it is THE most beautiful gift you can give (yourself) or offer to a couple of new parents. However, the bath must be carried out in the first weeks of the newborn's life (preferably before 1 month). By wrapping baby in a towel and immersing them in a bath, baby rediscovers the sensations of being in their mother's womb: a moment of relaxation, a bubble of joy for the whole family, and above all an unforgettable memory. Another idea: the swaddled bath — also an ideal moment of aquatic relaxation!

Baby massage workshops

Depending on the birth experience, baby may have minor tensions, small aches, or little physical discomforts… In order to best support their development, their growth, and with the aim of soothing them and fostering connection with their parent, Maison Né offers baby massage workshops, either one-to-one or in a group. It is a moment to learn about non-verbal communication, to comfort your newborn and encourage their sleep.

The rebozo treatment for mums

Mum also needs her dose of wellbeing to recover physically and emotionally from childbirth. Why not treat her — or yourself — to a Rebozo treatment to recentre and close the body? The rebozo is an ancestral Mexican shawl used during transitional periods such as the postpartum. It is a session lasting 2 to 3 hours, carried out by four hands, with oils, a hammam moment followed by the tightening of the body at seven key points. The body is detoxified and reconnected. In short, at Charlie Crane, this is by far our favourite.

Did you know that at Charlie, we also help you prepare for baby's arrival?
